Self-care is a buzz-word, yet the familiarity of the phrase does not keep us from lives of high levels of stress with pervasive impact. Care is needed that offers healing for our whole being. In its absence, our self-care can be similar to a “Whac-a-Mole” game. We attend to physical issues, only to have emotional issues pop us. Or we address psychological difficulties only to have relationship struggles.
